Gossip and Reception

At release, Crow Country piled in many good reviews from publishers. The most preferred feature was the unique graphical design. The reviews averaged a 8.3 out of 10 . Some players like the puzzles and storyline. Other players liked the charming and interesting environments of the theme park. Some players felt the atmosphere was perfect for survival horror. Unfortunately some players did not like the survival mechanics, as ammo was plentiful enough to not struggle. Crow Country has the aesthetics of the original Final Fantasy 7 and Resident Evil for PlayStation One. Crow Country will be releasing for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series XS and Steam. A free demo can be downloaded to test out the title. Crow Country was published and devloped by SFB Games, an indie studio based in London. The only notable titles they produced were Tangle Tower for PS4 and Xbox One, and Snipper Clips plus for Nintendo Switch.

Storyline
Mystery surrounds the sudden disappearance of a owner and closure of theme park owner in Atlanta, GA. The protagonist explores the theme park to search for answers in the year 1990. Searching the theme park, horrible creatures lurk in the shadows. The player will discover the background of protagonist Mara Forest.

What Critics like about Crow Country ?

Critics enjoyed the theme park environment, as many locations featured unique visuals. The storyline was enjoyable and interesting enough on its own merit. Puzzles were fun and non frustrating to solve. The option to turn off combat in exploration mode was appreciated. The retro, polygonal graphics was admired by players.



What Critics dislike about Crow Country ?

Some critics felt Crow Country had a shallow feel in terms of combat and puzzles. Engaging in combat did not allow the player to run while aiming weapons. Other players felt the survival mechanism of preserving ammo and inventory space, was absent and gave Crow Country a too simplistic feel.
