Beneath is Developed and Published by Camel 101, a Portuguese studio known for releasing the title "Those Who Remain" in 2019. Those Who Remain received average to low scores from critics. IGN gave Those Who Remain a 6 out of 10, citing good puzzles and atmosphere, but poor storyline. Those Who Remain carries a 49% on Metacritic. Beneath is given a Hype Score of 8, as the gameplay footage show intense and creepy gameplay.

First person shooter in dark science labs underneath the ocean. Players must scavenge for ammo as it is a scarcity. Exploration and puzzle solving is necessary to escape the labs. Manic monsters and rifle yielding scientist look to take down the player in dark eerie environments. Sanity levels must be monitored to keep from succumbing to fear.

A deep sea diver unfortunately gets trapped into a science lab underwater. In order to survive, the player must escape and defeat adversaries in the lab. Apparently a science experiment has gone wrong in which manic psychotic monsters were created.
